This jacket is fabric and does not make a noise nor does it "smell" like one reviewer indicated. Perhaps the person was reviewing a totally different item.

Item is brand new with tags. A super UPF protection product.

Great light weight jacket you can take any where you may need protection from the sun. I wouldn't call this jacket warm, though if you layered underneath or over it I'm sure it would help significantly. As for being wind proof, maybe a little bit, didn't notice much.

bought two of these and had to send both back because the stretchy material is like dry-rotted. if it gets stretched out it doesn't return to the original weave. it makes this cracking, stretching sound too when it stretches, something is wrong with it, reminds me of something with stretch, that's sat for a long time in closet, like i said dry-rotted. maybe my two were culls, don't know, but they both had same problem. if you want to take a chance on these i will say they are looser rather than snugger fitting. i'm 5'8"+, 145#'s, 40BBs, and the large was comfortably loose
