The material is very high quality and pockets are well placed. I wear a size 32 waist and at first these fit great, but after wearing them for a few days on an extended kayaking trip they started becoming quite loose fitting. There are Velcro straps each hip that are suppose to be there for adjustment. However the Velcro is completely useless as it immediately tears loose with any bending action. Don't know how these made it out of R&D. Should of had a drawstring. I guess could use a string as belt and run it through the loops. Bottom line: if you are one waist size larger than you order they should work out great for you.

The front pockets are a bit shallow for a phone or wallet, but on each leg the shorts have side pockets with velcro closures that are perfect for wallet, phone or pliers. I am 6 feet 2 inches and normally wear a 34 inch waist for pants. I ordered the 34 inch waist and the fit is excellent. These shorts come to the top of my knee and are very comfortable when sitting and fishing. They also dry very quickly.
