Mine was a factory second

The shirt had an obvious repair of a 3 inch tear in the sleeve. There is a cloth repair strip on the inside of the sleeve with obvious black repair stitching on the outside. I had never interpreted "Closeout" as meaning "Factory Second", but it evidently does at Sierra. Or maybe Columbia just slipped it in.

The shirt is large. Sierra's sizing chart evidently doesn't apply to Columbia's "big and tall". Columbia seems to interpret it as "big AND tall" rather than "big AND/OR tall". I normally require a large shirt, but I would classify Columbia's large as an extra large.

The material and workmanship are good. You will be hard pressed to run out of pocket space. The rod holder is handy baiting a hook or changing lures. My small needle nose pliers are held nicely by the elastic pocket loop - handy in a kayak.

The material is a good quality medium weight cotton. It isn't a lightweight poly fishing shirt. I wear the cotton shirts in the early morning and they are comfortable. Fishing at the height of the day you need a light colored, long sleeve lightweight poly shirt most of the year here in Florida. The cotton shirts are also nice for casual wear.

It is a nice shirt for the price if you like plenty of room and are not unlucky enough to get a factory second.
