Definitely buy them one size down. I wear a XXL in most brands, including some Columbia. I have a XXL from years ago and it is huge on me. The XL is perfect. As a reference, I am 6' and wear a 48 jacket.
Reviewed by fishingisliving from kansas on Friday, September 2, 2016The shirt I purchased is well made will be very handy as both an outer layer for fishing and as a under layer when you need that little bit extra for fall and winter hunting.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Paul from Colorado on Thursday, August 18, 2016These shirts are greasy for keeping the sun off your arms yet staying cool when covered up. I ordered x large but I was looking for a tighter fit. The large I ended up with still fit comfortably. The XL ARE REALLY BIG if that is what you are looking for.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by civi68 from altoona on Monday, August 15, 2016I bought the short sleeve version a few years ago and it was of much better quality than these shirts so I sent them back. I don't know how almost transparent clothing can be have a UPF rating.
