It really doesn't get cold enough here in Califorani to justify buying one of the 2 layer jacket/parkas that most of the large name outdoor outfitters like to sell. So for me this shell is perfect. I like to layer for the cold weather that we do get and this shell is the perfect final layer to keep the moisture off and let sweat vapor out when walking to the blind or helping the dog chase a downed bird.

I work on a crew that is out in the field a lot and this jacket has proved itself to be tough. Packs pretty small, wish the pocket it packed into had a zipper instead of velcro, but it works well. Nice in the rain and wind. A bit noisy for hunting, but I dont think it would really be loud enough to startle anything in the woods.

Not super insulated, but perfect lite weight shell if you wear something warm under it. This is great on it's own for cold mornings that lead to hot days during the beginning of the season.

I figured ill spend some money. I saw columbia, thought two things good but expensive. I actually didnt spend much more than the the rain jacket I had to return that I got soaked in. I never thought I would spend money for a rain jacket, but its worth every penny. Its light-weight, breathable and waterproof. Its perfect for the hot summer storms we get here in Bama. I said its noisy but not annoying. I dont recommend for hunting more for casual for a person that likes camo.
