Reviewed by Life time hiker from SF Bay Area on Sunday, February 26, 2017These socks were not comfortable and wore out very quickly. I do not recommend them to serious hikers.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by prinetowner from Central Oregon on Wednesday, September 14, 2016good feel, nice cushioning, good price.
Reviewed by Backpacker Joe from Baltimore on Sunday, July 31, 2016As the other reviews have noted, these are odd-fitting socks. I washed them before wearing and when I put them on, I thought they had shrunk. But I actually just think they were constructed wrong. I still wear them, but it's a struggle.
Reviewed by Radio63 from Chickasaw Nation on Saturday, July 9, 2016Literally, these are now trash. The heel seam is so badly sewn that holes appear in the sock before they are worn. Still, I thought I might get some use out of them (as there was no point in returning one pair of socks), but the cut is just as poor as the workmanship. If you put the heel seam on your heal, the top of the sock sits at a weird angle, part above your ankle and part below. Worse purchase ever.
Reviewed by SJG from NYC on Thursday, July 7, 2016I like the height of these. Just above the collar of the shoe but not up over the ankle. They are comfortable. Not sure how durable they'll be but I'm suspicious. The seem on the diagonal up from the heel (you can see it in the picture) is pretty loose to the point where you can see through the stitching. But maybe that's what the Kevlar is for. We'll see.
