Reviewed by Busted Yuppie from Pacific Northwest on Tuesday, October 15, 2013I shopped waders for a week looking at various brands and finally settled on these. First off, I have fished them for at least 30 days since purchasing them and they (fingers crossed) haven't leaked yet... I love the pockets on the chest for fishing salt water and I don't have to wear a vest. The Patagonia brand waders that I bought with these, and sent back to STP, didn't have chest pockets, and after trying them on, that was the deal breaker for me. The pockets work for multiple items, and there is an inner zip pocket which is where I put my iPhone to keep it dry while listening to music on my ear buds.
I am 5'10" 210 lbs and the XL fits me just fine with long underwear, a fleece jacket, and a rain jacket underneath. I love the included lumbar support belt too for those long stands in one place while fishing. It really does help to support the lower back. The fabric is nice, and it does breathe if you are hiking the river bank on a nice day.
The suspenders are comfortable, and you can tighten them up nicely with the slide buckles.
All in all, great waders, especially with the coupon I had and STP's already low price. Much better price for the quality than my local fishing emporium.
Reviewed by CC from TN on Thursday, July 25, 2013Just what I needed for fishing a cool mountain stream during a Tennessee summer. Good quality. Reinforcements on every seam keep water out. Had to get XL for right shoe size, so waders are baggy on top. May be alright when weather turns cooler and I have to wear with pants and sweatshirt.
Reviewed by fishkisser101 from Orcas Island, WA on Sunday, July 7, 2013Yeah, they're baggy, and would probably wear on the inside of the knees due to excess fabric. Mine never made it that far--after only three 1/2 day trips (and without any serious brush-crashing) they sprung a major leak along the seam of the lower right leg.
Reviewed by swamplover11 from New York on Monday, May 20, 2013just recieved and sierra keeps hassling me for a review lol.. have not used yet, hoping to get up to Ausable in adirondacks soon to break them in .. tried on .. fit on the money to description..feel like they could be a lil warmer then my old Orvis waders.. can't wait to try them out.. love the pockets every where ...
Reviewed by Al from Maine on Monday, May 13, 2013These is no doubt these are excellent waders but, unfortunately not made for tall skinny people with big feet. I wear a size 12 but my chest is no where near a 54 inches. So these ended up fitting great on my feet but, i could feet another half person in them with me.
