Most Helpful 5-Star Review
- it's warmer than a super-thin spring jacket, but it's not too hot, and not puffy; maybe as warm as a medium wool coat, but somehow you don't overheat in this; also, the hood is lined so it gives some extra-warmth. You can pro... Read More

Verified Buyer Reviewed by pragmatic shopper from Iowa on Tuesday, November 15, 2016Nice jacket, light and with the lining, I believe it would be surprisingly warm. I am 5 ft 9 inches tall. On me, the belt was on my ribs rather than my waist. It was not feasible to remove or shift the belt loops down without creating holes in the fabric. If this were available in a tall so the belt could rest where my waist is, it would be a wonderful jacket. I sent it back since I will not wear something where the fit is not right.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by @njbha2 from Michigan on Wednesday, October 19, 2016I love this coat so far. I can't wait for the first downpour to see if I love it after. It's wonderfully stylish and functional. Great pockets!
Reviewed by Sandie from Tennessee on Saturday, October 15, 2016I have wanted a trench for some time, but wanted a cooler tone of color. I got this in "Fossil", and I love it. It's a light beige, but it's got very cool undertones, with med. gray trim at the shoulders and inside the hood. The interior is shiny silver, super lightweight thermal material. I don't know if the thermal thing works, but it surely looks cool! There is a small hidden pocket inside the coat towards the middle of the placket area, and a small zip pocket on the left sleeve near the wrist. The two outer pockets also zip. I am 5'7" and the length comes to about maybe 4" above my knees--I'd call it more of a coat than a jacket because of the length. It looks a little longer on me than in the picture. I also have long arms, and the sleeves come to mid-hand, which is really nice when it's wet and I want to stay dry. My measurements are about 39.5-32.5-41.5. I got a large. It fits as if it were custom made for me BUT, BUT the shoulders are not extra big. It's not an oversized coat at all. This means there is probably not enough room to wear a really thick, bulky sweater underneath this coat. For me, this is not a problem because I have thicker coats for truly cold weather, but keep this in mind. It not only is a quality coat, it looks like a quality coat. I feel like I look very good in it and am so happy I selected this one rather than a cheaper version. I will enjoy this for years.

I haven't tried it in very cold weather, but I don't think it would keep you very warm when it gets that cold unless you layer beneath it (and it does fit trim). The reflective lining is supposed to keep body heat in, but it's a thin, perforated material--think high tech sports clothing. Very light weight, warmish, but not like a regular thick, warm, winter coat.
No - I would say 40 degree would be the max.
The material isn't make any noce.It is light , soft and keep warm .
It makes some noise, but it's a lot less than some other jackets and I find it not annoying, but it is not entirely quiet. When I wear it, there is no noticeable noise, but putting it on and taking it off, there are definitely some swish-swish sounds, not enough to be annoying or embarrassing, but enough to notice in a quiet room.
The material is a woven synthetic material, but it doesn't look like a raincoat at all. It's very matte. People are actually surprised when I tell them it's waterproof.
This material makes some noise, but is not very noisy.
