That's what this pack is. It does it all. Good approach pack..... Can support a small tent, pad and bag. Comes with a sturdy padded waist belt that can easily be removed or moved up and down for comfort. Great outer pocket for a rope and protection. Lots of loops and straps for crampons, skis or snowshoe attachment. Once camp is set..... Remove the top lid and bulky waist belt with ease. Now you have a summit day pack! Lots of straps to compress pack to a smaller size. The top even has a smaller lid to keep the weather out. Plus it has two top easily accessed hear pockets. Also has a small waist strap. This pack does it all if your into Climbing, Peak Bagging and Backcountry Skiing. Enjoy!
