I developed plantar fasciitis last Spring and am finding I still need a little extra arch support in my footwear. Since my Chaco sandals were the only shoes I could wear that didn't hurt, I was happy to find these cold-weather boots also made by Chaco - and they have not disappointed. The footbed offers the same great support as my sandals and the toe box is a comfortable width without feeling sloppy. The sizing was perfect; I wear a 7.5 and the fit was great - even when wearing a thicker sock. I haven't worn them on a long walk yet, but they've been warm and comfortable while running errands in the cold and snow. The side zipper was a little sticky at first - took a few tries to get it to fully unzip - but it works perfectly now for easy on and off. I like the height: tall enough to handle most snowy conditions but low enough that my pant leg can fit over the top (which I prefer). I was very happy to find these boots and get them at such a terrific price!
