Beautiful pattern enhances the fine alpaca strands. Light weight, with just that little bit of extra warmth when you need it. Keeps it shape nicely. I am a dentist in the chilly Northeast, with lovely, but chilly large windows in my rooms; I place these alpaca blankets on my patients while they are in the dental chair, and they love it, quite a few even take a nap!

I purchased the Karina Baby Alpaca Throw Blanket as a gift for a friend who is going through a health challenge. My friend loves her gift. She says that it is more elegant than the word "throw" conveys. She says that the woven, subtle textural detail pattern is beautiful, and it is very light so that it gives a lot of options for folding or draping, providing different levels of warmth. In addition, it looks and feels "healing." The orchid color is like a lavender which connotes healing. I am happy that my friend loves this gift.

Yes, this throw is thin, but think of it as elegant, like a pashmina. The weave is sturdy and not loose and stretchy as mentioned in another review. The appearnce is more of a basket weave rather than connected circles, however. I own other alpaca items, and the fiber is very warm compared to its weight. Baby alpaca is softer than regular alpaca and has a natural sheen. This throw is just what I was looking for, warm and not bulky. I got the charcoal color, which is really a light gray/silver color. I got it at a sale price and am very happy with my purchase.

Took this blanket on many airplane trips, paired with neck pillow and eye mask in an Alps small compression sack allowed me to organize and find all my sleep related items. Green is a lovely color. As mentioned by another reviewer, the weave is loose, but I was able to repull to original placement any pulled threads. This was not a great issue however. Provided ample coverage and warmth and of course it was good to know it as clean!

The fabric and colors are lovely...but I wouldn't even wear this weave as a sweater. The weave can become mishappen easily with normal stretching and prodding.
