    • This line is tapered, but only on one side, unlike a double taper. Weight forward lines, like this one, are usually better at increasing casting distance and loading a rod with less line out. The increased performance comes with one downside, unlike Double Taper lines, weight forward lines cannot be reversed to use the other end after one side wears out.
