The lenses measure 1 1/2" high each lens meaures 2": from side to side. The measurement from side to side of the glasses while holding them in my hands is 4 1/2 " from outside to outside.I hope this helps...

    • Sorry I can't help you lotusflower. I returned the glasses as they were too small for my face and I don't remember much about the lenses. I can tell you the quality of both the lenses and the glasses seemed excellent and I was sorry to return them.

    • Amber tends to make for sharper/brighter contrast for average to lower light. Copper also helps contrast, to a lesser degree, and seems to handle very bright sun better. As such, in lower light may seem a bit dark. My first pair was amber then I purchased Copper. I have one pair in each car. Overall I think it is personal preference as I am just as happy with both. On the water or snow in bright sun I would lean toward copper, but for everyday it is a toss up. These are my opinions check Costa web site for more detailed information. Go with the 580 lenses as they give more protection (covers additional light spectrum) than the 400 series. I have owned and tried many of the major brands and from my experience I now only buy Costas. Hope this helps some.
