Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dondini from North Carolina on Friday, May 15, 2015As usual, fast shipping from STP. As other reviewers have noted this hat fits small for the size. I ordered a size larger and it is still snug. Oh well, it won't fly off in the breeze. Otherwise, the leather construction appears nicely done. Certainly a nice item for the price.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by ALA from FAYETTEVILLE, NC on Friday, May 16, 2014I HAVE ALWAYS WORN A SIZE LARGE HAT, 7 1/4-7 3/8; THIS HAT IS CUT A WHOLE SIZE SMALLER THAN IT STATES ON THE LABEL. THEY SHOULD TELL MEN TO ORDER A FULL SIZE LARGER. MAYBE IT IS SMALLER BECAUSE IT IS A UNI-SEX HAT, OR JUST MADE CHEAP. I WAS ALSO CHARGED FOR THE RETURN, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS RETURNED BECAUSE IT WAS CUT AND LABELED WRONG. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TO ANYONE, TO ORDER THIS HAT. IT IS NOT WORTH THE PAYMENT TO RETOUN IT, AND NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
Reviewed by wzl from slc, ut on Sunday, January 19, 2014If you like a smaller hat that isn't stiff and overwhelming this is a good choice. When I first went to try it on I thought it would be too small, but the band has enough stretch to fit snugly on my head and stay put. The leather is very soft, but the brim can be shaped a little. It really does crush flat, but the wrinkles stay in when you put it on. Supposed to be waterproof but haven't tried it in weather.

I've never worn it in the rain but when I splashed a little water on the hat the water beaded up. My guess-- it would be ok in a light rain, maybe not a deluge.
You could probably improve its wearability in rain by treating it with a leather waterproofing product, such as mink oil. Good luck.
