I am 5' 5" and I really like where this coat hits me. Had some cold weather and my former coat had the zipper fail. Ordered this one and very glad I did. I was warm at 10° and windy. I felt none of it. The fabric doesn't crackle, and is soft. I don't look like a burrito in it, it has some shape. Easy to get on and off. The price was appropriate. These things are what I look for in a winter coat.

I walk about 2 blocks from my car to my job. I was looking for as much coverage as possible to protect against wind and subzero temperatures. The insulation seems thin but does the job, even at -10 degrees. For my 2-block walk, I wasnt cold at that temp. For just standing around or for really cold temps, I would want to add a sweater. Above zero, it is luxuriously comfy. This is a well-made jacket with some nice details, including a strap on the back of the hood that allows you to adjust the depth. I would ordinarily have ordered a 4. Only size 6 was in stock. It fits well and looks trim, but there's enough room for a sweater. I'm 5'2". It hits just above my knee. Another reviewer commented that the length created an appearance issue, but it looks good to me. I've worn it every day since it arrived, in snow, in wind, in freezing rain. I put it on over pj's at 5am to take the dogs out, put up the sherpa-lined hood and feel enveloped in coziness. Oh, I should also mention it's nice-looking and stylish.

The only way this would be better would be if the lining was fleece. Warm, waterproof, stylish.

This jacket was excellent quality, a beautiful color, and I would have loved to have kept it except it is like a dress on me. I am 5'3" and this jacket reaches down to my knees. The other strange thing is even though it is long, it had short arms and fit my arms just fine.. It seems quite disproportioned.

About Craghoppers

The story behind Craghoppers jackets and apparel began in 1965 when a group of friends from Yorkshire, England started planning a trip to climb Mt. Everest. At the time, options for dependable, high-performance outerwear were pretty scant. Rather than settling for less than adequate gear, the friends decided to create their own, and the Craghoppers clothing company was born. Half a century later, Craghoppers jackets, pants, shorts and shirts are still helping people bag summits and stay comfortable on their adventures all across the globe. With features that range from lightweight, UV-resistant fabrics to Insect Shield® bug repellency, Craghoppers clothing is designed to get outdoors and go places.
