I found these completely by mistake while at my local store. I tried them on and found the sizing waaaay off (small). I had to size up significantly (38) to fit around my waist. The legs ended up being far too long for my short height (5'7") also. I bought them for a trip to southeast Asia. Before leaving I had the pants hemmed at a local tailor. The cost + tailoring was still infinitely cheaper than full retail price. I wore these for several days during the trip and they were absolutely perfect for the hot & muggy Philippines weather. They didn't develop weird unwanted smells after days of wearing. The zippered pockets kept unwanted hands out. They are slightly water resistant, but I'm sure a good DWR spray would help even more. I doused these in sawyer permethrin bug spray with no ill effects. The mosquitos never stood a chance. I'm beyond absolutely stoked about these pants that I ordered two more... full well knowing I'll have to tailor the pants to fit. If you need travel pants to Asia... these are it!

About Craghoppers

The story behind Craghoppers jackets and apparel began in 1965 when a group of friends from Yorkshire, England started planning a trip to climb Mt. Everest. At the time, options for dependable, high-performance outerwear were pretty scant. Rather than settling for less than adequate gear, the friends decided to create their own, and the Craghoppers clothing company was born. Half a century later, Craghoppers jackets, pants, shorts and shirts are still helping people bag summits and stay comfortable on their adventures all across the globe. With features that range from lightweight, UV-resistant fabrics to Insect Shield® bug repellency, Craghoppers clothing is designed to get outdoors and go places.
