5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Boots
Verified Buyer Reviewed by H.W. from Santa Fe, NM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012
Wonderful and comfortable! These boots are, however, constructed of a VERY distressed sort of leather that really is more like suede. My ONLY worry about the boots is that given the distressed look and resulting thin feel of the leather, I worry they aren't as durable as a top-grain leather boot. But then, suede never is as durable.
They do sometimes feel a bit narrow, but I have feet that are starting to show signs of bunions. SO I guess if you have bunions, these might chafe a bit.
All in all, beautiful, true to size boot.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Handled a surprising amount of wear since 2012
Reviewed by Kristie from West Virginia on Thursday, February 5, 2015
Keep in mind that these are fashion boots rather than work boots. When these first arrived, I loved the distressed leather look, but I was disappointed at how thin the leather felt. However, they are light (one benefit of that thinness), very comfortable and actually fit my muscular calves. They're great for Spring and Fall wear when it's cool, but not cold. The best part is that they've been going strong since 2012.

Order in your dress shoe size (a half size smaller than you would for hiking boots or running shoes) and they should be fine.

I'd give 5 stars if I felt I could get away with wearing them in damp conditions without fear of ruining them.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. My favorites

I can't say enough good things about this boot. Comfortable enough to be worn behind the bar for 11 hours, and yet stylish enough to look great with many outfits, especially skirts and dresses.

The material is thinner than what you're used to, but they feel very soft and are durable- it's Børn, after all! Been wearing them for about a year, and they look great.

Also: I have giant calves- I think 16"?- and they fit great.

    LOVE
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. A little long
Reviewed by NC Mom from North Carolina on Friday, February 28, 2014
I love these boots. Put them on and wore them all day. Very comfortable. Couple of problems though.. They were a little long as other reviews stated. I went ahead and ordered my regular size as I am a 10 and my feet are a little on the wide side. Had about an inch in the toe but as it is a narrow toe I don't think the smaller size would work for me. After wearing them all day they had stretched and were a little loose feeling all over. Hope I didn't make a mistake with not ordering down. Another thing... the sole of this boot is narrow and with my wide feet it felt like my inner arch on one foot was over hanging the boot and had no support. Felt weird at first but I liked the look of these boots so much that I decided to give it a try and wear them. I guess I adjusted because they felt fine after a little while. I would have given these boots 5 stars but they aren't perfect.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. NOT what I was expecting
Reviewed by Anonymous from Iowa on Thursday, January 2, 2014
I agree with the other reviewers, the material does not feel like real leather, much thinner like cloth. The fit was tight in the calf, which is a problem for me as I have bigger calves, but wide in the foot as I have narrower feet. Also, the textured leather is VERY pronounced, and to me distracts from the overall look of the boot. I ended up returning these because they really didn't look like I expected. However, if the poor material quality wouldn't bother you, it seems like they would be comfortable boots and would loosen to fit better over time.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Good looking, comfortable boots

I was glad to have read the reviews regarding these boots. The leather material is indeed more cloth-like than traditional leather boots. The fit is definitely narrow, which is not a problem for me since I do have narrower feet. I ordered down 1/2 a size to the 9 1/2 which work very well for me. I work in retail on my feet all day, and these were pretty comfortable for 8 hours, right out of the box. Very satisfied.
