Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jennifer from Colorado on Wednesday, October 26, 2016I used to work at a boutique knitting shop, we sold a lot of types of yarn including alpaca. Alpaca is warmer than sheep's wool because, like polar bear fur, the shafts of alpaca hairs are hollow inside adding another layer of insulation. These will be great for back country skiing before work on -10 mornings. They also fit well and have nice arch support.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by BeverlyS1 from Georgia on Wednesday, October 26, 2016Love these cute hiking socks with the funky colors. They have great support, so they look good and feel good, too. Great price, as well.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gretchen the Hiker from Oregon on Friday, October 7, 2016I love these warm yet light socks. They are warm without any itch factor. They are everything the description says they are light, snug, comfy. The only thing a little negative is they are not very tall. The picture makes them look taller and I like socks that come up higher than mid-calf. Also only the foot is merino wool. The rest is some combination of nylon and synthetics.
