Full disclosure: I returned this bag because it didn't work for my needs, BUT there are some neat features of this bag!

First, the bag is BIG, and the back of the bag is a harder piece of material that feels incredibly comfortable against your back while you wear it.

Second, as indicated in the picture, the backpack is actually two bags: one backpack, and one camera bag that fits inside the main compartment of the backpack. While you do have that front zipper compartment for smaller things (and a sleeve for your laptop), the camera bag fits inside the backpack and is accessible only from the back of the backpack. There is not a way to access the main compartment of the backpack without taking the bag off, and unzipping the back panel (which is why I returned it). There is a top zippered compartment which contains the waterproof covering (and also doubles well for a pair of sunglasses, cell phone, anything small, really).

Third, the camera bag is ALSO large and has foam pieces that can easily be manipulated to fit your camera gear as needed.

Overall, the bag is well constructed and seems durable.

While I didn't like that you couldn't access the main compartment from the front of the bag, it does seem like a great solution to hauling camera gear or serving as a bag for traveling.
