Extraordinarily well-made with thick soles and steel toes. Perfect as serious work or outdoor boots. I ordered my normal size (7.5) in a W width - although I usually wear a M width these boots did not feel too wide and I was able to get them on without difficulty with a hiking sock.

The size is OK,I was worry about that, but it's OK.This is a good news.
BUT it's so heavy that walking is difficult. And ankle part is too small to wear into. It's hard for me.

Nice shoes, but it's hard to pull on and take off

These boots are really high quality materials and well constructed. The tongue is integral with the front of the boot and I believe it may have been slightly "shorted" width wise. My feet are narrow, but the ankle of the boot is so narrow that it was next to impossible to put my foot into the boot. I was able to try them on by wearing only a very thin sock liner, but this is not how these boots are to be worn. I don't think the boot ankle would stretch or break in any time soon, so I returned the boots. Too bad, as they seem like great boots for working outdoors in all weather.

My daughter loves these boots, but it's a good thing she's thin and a ballet dancer. One boot is so tight at the ankle she can barely pull it on.The other boot goes on easily. Otherwise these are obviously excellent quality boots and would be 5 stars.. We're figuring the nice, supple leather will stretch a bit with use. I think they should be marked "seconds" and not "closeouts" though. Definitely not for someone with larger or stiff ankles.

I am usually not picky when it comes to footwear, but I just couldn't make these boots work. First, I could barely get them on. The tongue is attached to the laces and if you have a high arch it is very tricky to get your foot all the way into the boot. Second, once my foot was in the boot, it was very uncomfortable. I was hiking up a steep slope in them and the tops of my toes were being rubbed raw. I work in the field as a biologist and I know that boots are not usually perfect right out of the box, but these were really bad. Maybe someone with a different shaped foot will have better luck.
