Reviewed by Zippy from NoCal on Wednesday, January 22, 2014Mine was a hard stone, not translucent. Still a good stone!
Reviewed by Sam from Durham, NC on Friday, January 17, 2014This is definitely a seconds item. Visible blemishes on one side of the stone, which make me hesitant to use that side. Also, 4" isn't very large for a whetstone... If you want to sharpen kitchen knives, this is probably not what you're looking for.
