Great productReviewed by DRMOM from North Carolina on Wednesday, November 22, 2017I love this little appliance!! It is so easy to use and the Yogurt is wonderful. I have used 1% milk and the result is so creamy and rich. FOOL PROOF as long as you follow the instructions. FYI...You need a good thermometer to make sure your milk temps are correct.
Missleading Specs But Some Good QualitiesVerified Buyer Reviewed by EvalStepmom from Washington on Sunday, August 27, 2017According to the description online, this makes up to 2 quarts of yogurt. This yogurt maker cannot hold 2 quarts! All of the recipies call for 5.5 cups of milk and half-a-cup of yogurt started. Hello! The last time I checked, 5.5 plus .5 equals 6. At four cups per quart, that's a maximum end product of 1.5 quarts. Additionally, if you are making Greek yogurt, the guidance indicates that you should expect to make 2.5 cups of yogurt. On the plus side, unlike some cheaper makes/brands it is a programmable yogurt makes and it has a strainer for making Greek yogurt. Amazon sells the strainers for $20. So, even if the stated quantities are misleading, it is still a good product.
5 stars!Verified Buyer Reviewed by April from Georgia on Tuesday, June 20, 2017Great product so far. I have made 6 batches of yogurt since having this maker. All of them are perfect - just can't seem to make enough cuz my family likes it so much better than the commercial stuff!
YogurtVerified Buyer Reviewed by AZ_Hiker from Mogollon Rim on Tuesday, May 16, 2017Works as advertised. There's a significant time investment involved, but most of it is waiting for the yogurt to ferment. Saves money on that pricey Greek yogurt you love. For instance, a gallon of 2% milk in my area costs about $2.50. With that gallon of milk, I can make $6.00-8.00 of Greek yogurt at full retail price. Another benefit is that you can tweak the yogurt to have the taste and consistency that you prefer. The leftover whey liquid is great for use in protein smoothies, for baking, as a marinade, etc. However, if you live a hectic, fast paced lifestyle, with no free time in your schedule, this might not be the product for you.
