Great quality. Great price.

Purchased this bag for 50% less than the competeters price. Great quality, should last a lifetime. I am 6'3-6'4 220 lbs. I would suggest anyone taller going with an xl or long bag. The longest setting is just right... Anyone taller may have a problem.
Great pack...wish I'd bought another before they ran outReviewed by sierragrl from mammoth lakes on Saturday, October 6, 2018I bought this pack because is will fit my boyfriend and two of my sons. We used it on a 30 trek in the eastern sierras and my boyfriend loved it. It was significantly lighter than my osprey pack, it fit him perfect, held our food cannister and his stuff without using the extra space. He hadn't backpacked in 20 years and said the weight felt so easy to carry with this pack, he can't wait to go again. The water bottle side pockets are better than mine, but, you do need someone to grab your bottle for you while the pack is on.
Good dealVerified Buyer Reviewed by glenn from CO on Friday, August 10, 2018Got a great price on a great pack!
Serious PackingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mission/Disaster Worker from Oklahoma on Saturday, August 4, 2018I have used this pack several times, in rugged country, and it has very good materials, and a good "fitting system"; however, the main problem is the side pockets. As someone else has mentioned, they are not accessible when you have the pack on; it is almost impossible to take out a bottle of water, or granola bar, etc. while wearing the pack. And if you do manage to finally get the bottle out, getting it back in is worse. This part of the pack was POORLY designed. Also, it is narrow (again as someone has already mentioned). It would be nice if the pockets on the belt were a little larger also.
Perfect size and fit!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoor Amber from Idaho on Friday, August 3, 2018I haven't taken this backpacking yet but will in a couple of weeks. From first glance, feel, and fit, the construction is sound, the compartments are sizable, it is very comfortable and the organization makes sense. I'm looking so forward to getting out there and using this!
Great pack , survived 10 day Philmont TrekReviewed by BSA Buffalo Scouter Mom from Nebraska on Saturday, April 7, 2018Bought this pack for my son, and I bought the female version for myself. It is a fantastic option for youth that haven’t finished growing as it is so adjustable and grows with the kids. He was about 5’10” then and is now near 6’2” and after adjusting it, it still fits. It is a good weight and was the perfect size for a 10 day trek. We both DID strap on our tents below our bags. Notable, though, the tents had a thinner diameter that the straps on the pack could wrap around them. We experienced significant rain and used external rain covers not attached to the pack, it wasn’t a big deal. It is lightweight and had a good amount of room. The top expands vertically to accomomdate an extra 10L of space hence the “+10”. It has bladder compartment that worked well, you’ll need to buy your own water bladder. I would definitely recommend this pack.

Nice Nice NiceReviewed by Ben from Georgia on Wednesday, January 7, 2015Great price on this at STP...I shopped around quite a bit and STP's price is about 25% less than anywhere else. Quality pack with tons of space. The sleeping bag compartment on this thing is huge. Shoulder harness is extremely comfortable, and I am on the tall side (6'2) so I'm thankful for the adjustability. I was hesitant about the fact that there are no straps for attachment a sleeping mat or tent at the bottom, but the ice-pick loops combined with the gear ties on the side are perfect anchor points for bungee cords--my sleeping mat fits on very easily.
I can't speak to durability quite yet as I've only taken the pack out on a quick trial run, but so far so good. Materials seem a good quality and it seems very comfortable. With all the space I assume it would be very easy to pack a weeks worth of gear and food in here. I have another 65L pack (a Kelty) and the Deuter just seems like it's got much more room.
No raincover?Verified Buyer Reviewed by Run_the_Rocks from Earth on Monday, January 5, 2015Spacious, well built pack with a really great suspension. The specs on STP led me to believe it came with a rain cover. It does not.
