I have two other Deuter pack, as good as this one I just brought. And I was happy with its improvement on light and more adjustable.

  • Great pack!!!

Very supportive fit for my barely 5’1” self thanks to the adjusting straps. The 34 allowed plenty room for extra layers, rain gear, fleece, and 3L water bladder. The extra zipper pockets and pouch areas were ideal and vital for other necessary accessories. Good ventilation area at the back. Very pleased. Great for a day hike. Mine just made it up Mt. Washington.

This is a very comfortable pack with plenty of breathable mesh along the back. The hip belt is comfortable. It feels like a very solid made pack.

Very comfortable pack. Like the top loading design and side and bottom main compartment access zippers.

This is a great pack! It's highly adjustable, has lots of pockets, and the suspended mesh back panel is extremely comfortable. The sleeping bag compartment unzips at the top to create one big compartment with the main compartment or to allow access to items at the bottom of the main compartment, which is a nice feature. It's a little big for a day pack (my intended use), but the compression straps work well to keep smaller loads under control. It will definitely have enough room for winter layers.

I would like to have a small pocket or two on the hip belt for often-accessed items, and a "stuff pocket" or shockcord for stashing a jacket would have been nice. However, for the price, those issues are minor. No regrets here.

Awesome pack!! Great storage options with lots of pockets, super comfortable frame design makes even really heavy loads feel light, great quality construction. This pack is a bit too small for longer treks but perfect for long weekend getaways. Plus the built in rain fly is so useful for our unpredictably rainy Pacific Northwest weather.

About Deuter

Deuter backpacks and hydration packs have set the industry standard for quality, durability and innovation since the company was founded in Germany more than 100 years ago. Deuter packs accompanied mountaineers on early Himalayan expeditions, and Deuter backpacks were used on the first successful climb of the north face of the Eiger in 1938. Deuter introduced the first bike-specific hydration pack in 1990. Today, Deuter backpacks and hydration packs are available in a variety of sizes and models, with many offering customizable suspension systems.
