Reviewed by Queen of Cute from Questa, New Mexico on Sunday, December 15, 2013So kitchy, I had to have. Kodiak is 100 lbs and no trouble eating food or drinking water out of these bowls. Nice heavy weight so they don't get pushed around. I use a "waterhog" mat under these bowls so the rubber mat that was included went out to the garage for my husband to use in some manner. Also, that mat really covers way to small an area under the bowls anyway. Big dogs can be a little sloppy when eating so the rubber mat would never have contained the mess. Oh, and the "spoiled" canister that holds treats is terrific. Much bigger than the one I was using.so holds a lot more treats. And as I got this product with one of the discounts it was a good deal. This item is all about the dog owner, not the dog, so have fun with it!!
Reviewed by Loop from Honolulu.HI on Sunday, August 11, 2013My dog is 18 lbs and these bowls hold just enough water that I change at least once per day. I am more concerned about the ability to hold fresh water, than the need to hold his food. As he can't read I often use the hungry dish for water as well.... I bought two sets so I can run one set in the dishwasher while he uses the other. The black mat, although functional, smelled so bad, even after two days left outside, I just threw away. The large container makes a nice set if you have room for it.

Reviewed by Benephanie from Pittsburgh, PA on Friday, February 8, 2013I was very excited to purchase this as a Christmas gift for the doggies in our family. My in-laws had recently remodeled their ski condo, which is pet friendly. Their kitchen is a lovely black and white with red accents. The pet dishes were about 20 years old, and the mat beneath was an old boot mat. I thought this set would look lovely in the new kitchen. I was very excited when I received the package in the mail and inspected the contents. The dishes and treat jar are a nice heavy ceramic. The painting on them was nice and even and didn't look cheap. The mat that holds the dishes was a little hard, and took a while to flatten out... but now that it's been sitting on the floor for a month it looks great. Very pleased with this set. The dishes hold enough food for my in-laws black lab. And my cocker spaniel, mutt, and chihuahua enjoying sharing the dishes when they visit the condo.
