Coupled with the Dr. Slick Pin-On Retractor it is like having all the fly tools you need at your finger tips. Clips ... Read More

  • “how is the knot tier used? I can't find anything that describes how the knot tier is used?”

    • As I see it, for instance, search engine "Nail Knot". Instead of a nail or a straw, the vee holds the lines loose until one or both lines are drawn back through the middle or groove of the vee and cinched tight as both the lines are being removed from the end of the vee. Not to be flip, but the tier doesn't actually tie the knot; it just serves as a frame or jig or form for keeping the lines loose until the lines are woven together back through themselves and finally cinched tight with the long ends clipped neatly. It merely facilitates.

About Dr. Slick Co.

Mix one part surgeon with one part fly fisherman. Add some high quality stainless steel and a little ingenuity, and you have fishing instruments from Dr. Slick Co. Unimpressed with the quality and performance of available fishing tools, the good doctor did what any enterprising fisherman would do – he created his own. As a surgeon he was used to working with top-quality tools and saw no reason why fisherman shouldn't enjoy the same precision and quality. Dr. Slick nippers, scissors and other tools are all made from fine stainless steel and built to last. Trade your fishing tools for precision instruments and enjoy the performance that can only be found from Dr. Slick Co.
