Most Helpful 4-Star Review
Reviewed by Chris from Virginia on Thursday, June 13, 2013The picture on STP makes this bag almost look like it has a normal upright carryon form factor. It does not. It is wide and short which can make it a bit less maneuverable, but the bag itself appears to be well constructed. I have not used it yet, but the capacity does seem a bit limited. It should be fine for short weekend or business trips (reason I bought it), but I wouldn't expect to be able to live out of it as my primary luggage for more than 2 or 3 days.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Billy Business from NYC, NY on Wednesday, January 9, 2013I use this for weekly business trips. It is light and stores easy in the overhead compartment. Some issues closing the handle but does not dampen my enthusiasm for the bag. It has nice features - like a board & bag for keeping business shirts folded nicely and velcro bags in the corners for toiletries etc.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by John the road from Albuquerque on Tuesday, February 7, 2012I own several EC bags and am always in search of the "perfect" travel bag for business. The HC2 garment bag looked very promising, but after my first trip, I am thinking it will miss the mark. The outside material is very high quality, and looks like it will take a beating, the inside however looks more delicate, and I doubt it will hold up to many journeys before the internal zippers give out. The combination of a relatively short handle, and the broad rolling footprint of the bag had me continuously kicking it as I was walking.

Yes the Hovercraft garment bag is carry-on approved.
This bag does not have a laptop compartment.
No, it doesn't have a *specifically designed*padded laptop pocket BUT the large outer pocket (on side opposite rolling handle)is 18x13" and so quite easily held my laptop, cord and my ebook reader. The pocket's exterior is lightly padded and the interior presses against you're clothes, etc. I wouldn't trust it for check-in laptop (heck, I'd never check my laptop!), but it works well for carry-on laptop storage. Add a sleeve if you like more cushioning.
