I have had surgery for a bunion. These shoes are quite comfortable and conform to my feet well. Put in my own orthodontics -good support.

I love Ecco shoes. But the dye on the leather of these boots was uneven and splotchy. The other problem is that the laces are only for show. It's not possible to tighten them enough for support because the ankle is cut very large. They're going back.

WELL DESIGNED LIGHTWEIGHT BOOT, MODERNIZED WITH ZIPPER SO LACING IS A PROBLEM OF THE PAST. COMFORTABLE, A BIT NARROW, BUT STRETCHING THEM OUT WITHOUT SOCKS FOR NOW, I WEAR AN 8B, AND THE 8 IS OK. FOOTBED IS RESILIENT AND SUPPORTIVE. I INSTALLED OTHER INSERTS FOR EVEN MORE COMFORT. THE TEXTILE LINING DOES BREATH AND THE USE OF PLEATHER FOR ZIPPER LINING AND TONGUE GORE ISN'T BAD. LEATHER IS LINING THE TONGUE AND OTHER PARTS. NOT FOR CLIMBING THE MATTERHORN, BUT FOR WORKING IN THE SHOP OR LEATHER SEATED OUTDOOR ADVENTURES, GREAT! A SHOE-IN WITH KHAKI.

So far I love these boots after a few weeks of wear. They are handling the harsh Northern Michigan winter like a champ. They are warmer than I expected which is an obvious bonus. I didn't know they had a zipper when I ordered them and was a bit unsure what to think about it but now that I have worn them quite a bit, it's really nice. No more awkwardly shoving my foot into these boots. The laces are an odd length- I have to wrap them around the ankles before tying. One downside is they are not very slip resistant. They are cute and stylish though and look good with a pair of skinny pants. Overall, these are great boots and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone.
