    Beautiful sheet set but shrank. Granted, I did not treat this with kid gloves. It says to wash in cold and dry low heat. Not doing that - don't have the inclination. I wash in warm with cold rinse and regular heat tumble dry. Sheets need to be workhorses and durable. Durable they are but they did shrink; fitted sheet still fits the mattress but takes a bit more effort to put on the bed. After a year, I noticed some small pilling developing on the material.

    I ordered these sheets in mid-September. The sheets I received are heavy and somewhat coarse, made to last decades. I washed them and hoped they would soften up. Well, maybe a little. They've been washed about 6 times. I rotate my sheets out every 4 weeks. So now they have some little balls on them, plus they shrunk. The last time I put them on the bed, the seam busted out of the bottom sheet. They're essentially being held together only by the binding by the elastic. These were a mistake. I ordered the purple ones, maybe the other colors are better.

    These 400 count sheets have a nice, soft feel. The pattern is subdued but pretty. I guess the only negative would be they really should be ironed. Ironing has never really appealed to me.
