Great pants but they run large

I wear a size 10 (sometimes a 12 when things run small). I had to exchange the 10s in these pants because they were swimming on me. The 8's fit perfectly!

These are great for women in construction. They fit true to size, were comfortable and well made
  • Completely wrong size chart

I know my measurements - I sew. I used the size chart and it put me at a 10, which didn't sound right. But the measurements for the waist insisted that a 10 was my size. I got them in the mail and they were at least 3 sizes too big.

I am finding it difficult to find a pair of hiking pants like my old zip outvones that lasted over 20 years. I have not hiked in these yet and still not sure that I am keeping them. Length is great. I am 5'5. The size 8 foots great. I am 130 lbs but the inseam seems too high up. I findI I keep pulling the pants down to give me room in the crotch area.
  • Very Happy Hiker!

I am very nervous about buying things without trying them on, but they size chart on Marmot's website was great and the pants fit really well!

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
