good shoes??Verified Buyer Reviewed by tomo from JAPAN on Tuesday, April 17, 2018I usually use La Sportiva's tarantula, but this shoe can adjust the tightening of the instep with a shoe lace, so it's easy to use with long climbing.
Great shoe for crack climbingReviewed by Eugenel from Pittsburgh on Monday, March 19, 2018These are a great alternative to La Sportiva TC Pros. Similarly designed but 1/3rd the price. Wear 9.5 street shoes, bought 9.5. Fits fine, all-day ready after four gym sessions.
Runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Colorado on Tuesday, March 6, 2018I wear 8.5 street shoes and heard these run small so i ordered a 9.5. 9.5 is still too small. There are no bigger sizes available so I cannot comment on the shoes performance.
New @climbingReviewed by Unicorn climber from Idaho on Wednesday, September 20, 2017Love these climbing shoes... I wear street shoes US 6 and I got size 7 and they fit perfect. Not too bad for the price.
Great shoes, sizing off.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bill from Montana on Wednesday, August 2, 2017These are great climbing shoes for my daughter. However, the size is way off. My daughter is a size 7 and we had to get a size 9.5. We bought size 7's and ended up needing to buy another pair. Fortunately, the first pair fit my youngest child.
Quality shoe- undersized fitReviewed by Rocky Mtn Hi from Colorado on Tuesday, March 21, 2017Good thing STP has an EZ return policy! It took 3 tries to get the right fit on these these well made over-the-ankle shoes. Ended up 2.5 sizes larger than my regular size 6. I also own Evolv Demortos designed for those with a longer 2nd toe. They are 2 sizes larger. Apparently during the intervening years Evolv has not adjusted their boot lasts to match standards. I will be testing these out on the rock in the coming months.
Trad manVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hiker from SF on Monday, March 13, 2017I love hightop shoes as the low cut tennies just don't do well in the in the real world. I've been on Astroman but you only need a pitch of crack to let you know how important the ankle protection is. If the shoe fits, stock up as there aren't many hightops out there. Almost 2 sizes too small.
Great shoe, but smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rex Alexander from Southern California on Tuesday, September 20, 2016I bought Evolv Astroman and Scappa together, both same size as my street shoes. Scappa sizing are prefect snug for my foot. (without downsize). Evolv Astroman are way over tight, consider it's not really aggressive shoes. My right foot is very snug and tight. My left foot even feel pain.
Great shoe!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gina from Illinois on Saturday, July 9, 2016This shoe is really great. The fit is smaller than expected, ended up ordering a full size bigger than the normal street shoe size. They are still a little tight on the big toe but they should stretch some.
new to wearing climbing shoes so getting used to the way they fit and the tightness will be interesting. But I don't have any doubts that these shoes will perform great.
Good fit more aggressive then they lookVerified Buyer Reviewed by Native One from Albany, N.Y. on Sunday, July 3, 2016Tried the evolv shamans and couldn't fit them well. Astro,s fit better for my mid volume foot and not as aggressive as the shamans. Lacing must better than my old sportiva' s.

“I am confused on the sizing since it says men and women, but it has U.S. sizing. Should I base my size off of mens or women?”
I went w mens and these shoes are small so look at he reviews. I ended up +2 sizes for wider feet. Great shoes.
I just wished they had more in my size to stock up.
The sizes are listed in US mens sizes.
