Had to return: Problematic sizing ratiosVerified Buyer Reviewed by marbelinwa from Seattle on Monday, February 5, 2018Read WilliamInNashville's review - he has it spot on. I too had to return my purchase (and suffer the return fees.) The medium "should" fit me at 5'10" 170lbs, and with my arms by my side, it was close. Moving at all put pressures across the chest and lifted the jacket uncomfortably. The hood is uselessly oversized, with no cinch or restraint, making it dangerous to wear in almost any scenario. I really wanted to love this jacket - well constructed, made in the USA, but buyer beware - it will very likely not fit you if you are human.
Small FitReviewed by KIB from Virginia on Tuesday, January 30, 2018Good quality, but runs small to be sure. I'm thin: 6'0" 140 and the medium was fairly tight fitting with a dress shirt on, couldn't wear a blazer under it. also the arm length is far from generous--seems like a 32". have to send back due to smaller size. I would say fits like a 38 or 39 jacket
Sizing/Fitting issueReviewed by WilliamInNashville from Nashville, TN on Friday, January 5, 2018In full disclosure...I had to send mine back for sizing/fitting issues. I have previously ordered Exley attire and have had no problem fitting into size (M); however, for this model, I should have tried the (L). The (M), felt more like a size 40, rather than the listed 42. For me, (a 42R in a suit/blazer, and 6'0 - 170 lb. frame), this jacket could not accommodate a light sweater underneath, without feeling constricted of movement. Aside from sizing, the design of the jacket is such, that it has relatively low set arm holes and does not lend itself well for reaching above shoulder height without hiking up the entire length of the jacket to do so. Maybe the larger size would have rectified the fit...but somehow, I just think this was not the best fit for my particular body type. However, all seams and finishing were as usual Exley quality, with zero flaws in workmanship.
