Great travel shirt

Bought this shirt for an upcoming hiking trip. After an initial wear around town, seems like it will perform well, though I haven't had a chance to see how it will wear while carrying a pack, rubbing against dirt/brush, etc. I did, however find that this is an excellent shirt for wearing on-board long airline flights. The zippered breast pocket is a great size for a passport and small wallet, keeping those things secure while leaving your pant pockets empty (which for me is a necessity to stay comfortable while seated). On my last long-haul flight, I changed into a t-shirt to sleep, and simply folded this shirt up with my passport/wallet inside and stuck it under my pillow, left me comfortable while sleeping but kept my things secure (this was on a lie-flat seat - if in coach I would have just still worn the shirt to sleep).

For daily use, this shirt will max out at office casual, but just short of true business casual. The roll-up buttons on the sleeves, "ExOfficio" logo/label on the breast, and general looseness and cut of the shirt make it great for travel, but it does play to the casual side at the office. It would be fine for wearing to decent restaurants and such if you tuck it into a nice pair of jeans.

A note - the shirt I received had "real" buttons, the type you push through a hole in the fabric, which was my preference. I was worried it would have snap buttons (and would have returned it if it did). It seems that this closeout version on STP is an older style of the "Trip'r" shirt as all the new ones at REI, etc. do have the snap buttons.
