water tightVerified Buyer Reviewed by meritlane from LA, CA on Wednesday, June 13, 2018I do a lot of moto camping and dead space in my panniers is a target to avoid. My Nalgene bottles are dead space when not full, the solves that. I tested it's seal and it seems like a go.
Flexible bottleVerified Buyer Reviewed by Finn momma from CT on Wednesday, April 18, 2018Great. Takes only the space the liquid inside needs. Feels like good quality.
Awesome bottle, when you can open it.Reviewed by Ayaz from Bridgewater, NJ on Wednesday, April 11, 2018As the other reviews mention, the bottle is extremely difficult to open from the collapsed state. The instructions on the packaging don't help. I was going to return the bottle, but I have really wanted a bottle like this for a long time. A bottle I can keep in my car, travel bag, work bag, first aid kit, backpacking bag, etc without it taking up too much space. I can fill up 4 of these on a backpacking trip to carry a gallon of water (don't like bacteria inviting bladders), then collapse them as they get used up. Genius.
But the darn thing just would not open. So I banged the bottom of it on the floor a few times, wisdom being "If something doesn't work, hit it." Voila, the bottle opened right up. Now that its been loosened, collapsing it and opening it are no longer a problem. Its a great practical bottle, holds a full liter of water and is high quality. Even though its flexible, I expect years of worry free service. Thanks Hydrapak and STP for making this bottle available.
SharpReviewed by taffy from Earth on Tuesday, April 3, 2018I really really wanted to like this water bottle. I love that it's compact, while still holding a lot, but getting it open from the collapsed form is challenging. The plastic is hard, sharp and it's painful to pry it open making it hard to use, plus risk of injury of cutting yourself with the plastic.
Great idea!Reviewed by Griff from Star Valley on Tuesday, March 27, 2018I bought a few of these because they are a great idea and will work well for backpacking. I will also use it for long trail runs in the mountains when I need to purify water before putting it in my Camelbak. It is a little tricky to figure out how to work it at first but, not too difficult.
dysfunctionalVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pauli from extreme Pacific NW on Thursday, February 8, 2018Three of us tried really hard to get the bottle to open out from the collapsed state, but eventually gave up and returned it.

“Is handle strong enough to carry a full bottle hooked on a carabiner? ”
While I haven't put it to the test, it appears that it would work for that application.
There is a small loop fixed around the neck of the bottle that is very strong, maybe 15lbs strong. It can easily accomodate a caribiner and carry a full bottle hooked to a pack. Note, its not a classic Nalgene loop which attaches the lid to the bottle. The lid comes completely off and the loop is fixed to the neck of the bottle. Its an improvment; I have tied string to the loop and lowered it into a stream to collect water... with the lid completely off and out of the way. Plus this bottle is 4 oz lighter than any comparable nalgene bottle.
