Not Alaskan Guide quality

I wear an Alaskan Guide shirt all the time. Wears like iron, impervious to brush and brambles, a great long-lasting shirt. This shirt-jacket is a completely different animal. Soft with bulky insulation, nothing wrong with that per se, but it is almost the opposite of an Alaskan Guide shirt.

Despite both garments being the same size: XXL and XtraLong, they don't fit the same. Measuring the exterior this Shirt jacket is two inches smaller in the chest than my old Guide shirt. But when you consider the bulky insulation, the size loses at least another two inches so that a 50 chest in the old shirt becomes a 46 or less in the new shirt jacket. Due to the sizing, I had to return it.

To recap, good quality garment, inferior and of a different character from the Alaskan Guide shirt, runs much smaller than size would suggest.
