Great looking, neutral color flannel. The XL fits smaller (better) than a lot of other brands' XL's (Kavu, Woolrich, etc.).

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Well-fitting, comfy shirt, in an ideal fabric.

Soft, nice-looking shirt, half wool & half cotton. I bought the brown windowpane check, then bought the khaki/gray check one, too. Surprisingly, I might like the latter more.

If you're in between sizes or in doubt, size up! I ordered both the XS and the small, and I kept the small. Even it's nearly too small across the back. The gathers below the yoke help with that, though. (For reference, I'm 5'7", 125 pounds, a small-busted size 2, and generally wear an XS or small—in shirts, often a small to accommodate my shoulders.)

Note: You CAN machine-wash this in cold water, gentle cycle, and then just hang it up to dry. That's what I do for all my wool clothes, and it worked fine with this, too.

Ordered the brown/rust windowpane check. I love it! It is very fitted. And it is about half cotton and half wool and requires dry cleaning which is the only downside as far as I can see.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Well made and comfortable, but...

I bought this as a "keep the chill off" shirt. It is a medium weight and looks to be of quality. However, I ordered an extra large and it is fairly small. I normally wear a large, but for long sleeves I sometimes go with a bigger size to try to assure the sleeves and waist will be long enough. i am fairly certain the first time this goes through the dryer it will be too short and maybe too small! I am 6' tall and in decent shape and I don't think I have ever had an extra large be snug. I should send it back but I already threw out the tags so I will probably give it away.
