I wear an XXL with a 36" sleeve. As a 6' 4" old man with a beer belly the old style Filson fit is perfect for me. Filson quality at a STP prrice!
Wasn't too sure that I'd like this fleece after looking at the picture several times, but took a chance based on it's reviews. Was happily suprised!
Like the style, fit and finish better than my other name brand fleece jackets, and appreciate the useful pockets. Good midweight fleece for Spring and Fall or layering in the Winter months. Also a good grab jacket for taking the dogs out, getting firewood, etc. 6'00", 175 lbs - Large fit perfectly.

I wear an XXL with a 36" sleeve. As a 6' 4" old man with a beer belly the old style Filson fit is perfect for me. Frankly, I didn't care for the style and only bought it (at the Filson outlet store in Burlington, WA) because it was cheap. To my surprise it is my most worn jacket. Here in the Pacific Northwest even a warm summer day usually turns cool as the afternoon wind from the cold waters of the Strait of San Juan de Fuca blow ashore. This is my go-to morning and evening jacket which I wear almost every day. It's soft and warm and durable, the style has grown on me as well.

While the outlet store is worth stopping at if you are in the area I am almost always better off buying from STP if they have the same items because STP is usually less expensive and, most importantly, STP purchases come with the Filson warranty; outlet store purchases do not. In fact I have 3 Filson items en route to me from STP as I write this.

Jacket is very soft and warm, as you'd expect from a Filson moleskin fleece. I was looking for a bit more modern of a fit though, and ended up returning this.

Excellent jacket. Lightweight, but warm. Tailored just right: not too bulky, not too tight. Looks like it will withstand many cleanings and not come undone.

I love Filson products, especially the luggage, but this fleece jacket is simply a bridge too far. It is a very light fleece jacket. The fit is very bulky. For the price, especially with all the quality jackets out there, you could do better. Unless you are a Filson addict, I would look elsewhere. I am going to return mostly because of the fit.

About Filson

C.C. Filson began outfitting the Klondike Gold Rush stampeders over 100 years ago. He knew his clothing had to withstand the bitter cold and harsh conditions of the Klondike, and the survival of his customers depended on gear that would keep them alive in the frigid North. While the Gold Rush may be ancient history, C.C. Filson outdoor clothing is still going strong… maintaining the firm's reputation for honesty, legendary quality and durability. Every C.C. Filson garment is robust, rugged and manufactured from the finest materials available, so its wearer can withstand the rigors of the great outdoors. As the folks at Filson say, "might as well have the best."
