5.0 out of 5 stars. Great hiking shoe
Reviewed by Anonymous from SC on Sunday, February 18, 2018
I really like the Stealth (sticky rubber) soles! This is my 4th pair of Five Ten hiking shoes over a period of 20 years. They are the best hikers I've ever worn. They run a little short so if you're in between sizes order up. They are a shoe with lots of support. Although I usually use these shoes for hiking (they work well on wet rocks), I recently used them in Europe to get around on a rainy day on wet cobblestones. My older pairs of Five Tens eventually wore out because the rubber on the soles began to peel of in the toe area. This newer design doesn't look like it will do that. I am totally happy with these shoes.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Despite sizing, really great shoes

I am usually a size 7, and after I read reviews, I ordered a size 7.5. I had to return them for a size 8 which fit like a glove. They are really comfortable and I love the soles. They seem to be well made and durable. However, I would need a size 8.5 if I wanted to wear them with thick socks.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Cool cherry!

Neat shoe. Great color. Super arches. BUT SHORT. I wear 7.5 or 8, always order 8 on line. Should have gone for 8.5! But by time I got them, the cool cherry color was gone. And since the 8 is ALMOST long enough, maybe even IS long enough (optimist that I am), I decided to keep them! Too cool to let go...
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Love the style

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great for scrambling

On my third pair my favorite hiking shoe for rock climbing
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Too small

Wanted to love them, but they run 1/2 size too small. I wear an 8.5 M in almost all shoes/boots. These are too short. Width felt okay and the insole seemed supportive.

About Five Ten

Five Ten is a family-owned company dedicated to producing superior climbing shoes, approach shoes and outdoor footwear. Founded by veteran rock climber Charles Cole in 1985, Five Ten has been reinventing the climbing shoe since day one. Starting by creating an all-new, high-friction rubber compound for shoe soles that he would later dub "Stealth," Cole set out to enhance gripping power and make rock climbing safer in the process. Today, Five Ten climbing shoes like the Anasazi slipper and Prima shoe are worn by some of the world’s best rock climbers. In fact, even endorsed climbers who are paid to wear shoes by other companies resole with Five Ten's Stealth climbing soles. When it comes to performance on the rock face, few other companies hold a candle to Five Ten shoes.
