So if you are on the fence.....I say buy them! First off, the color and embroidery are exactly as pictured...black matte satin with gold stitching...not green as far as I can see. Love the look of these

The boot is pretty awesome. I am a pretty solid 9M, and that size was sold out, so I decided to tempt fate with the 8.5M (listed as 38.5 Euro). I won't wear thick socks with these, but they seems pretty comfortable. I think the 9M might have been too large, so it all worked out. The heel is higher than I expected, and the ankle opening stands out from my ankle a tad more than I might have hoped. But overall, it's a unique look.

The photo does not do justice to these boots. They are a gorgeous, rich mix of black, deep brown and antiqued gold. There is ample room in the toe box, definitely enough room for wider feet. I can wear a medium weight sock with them easily, which I need to as I slide around inside them. Get a set of silicone high heel insoles and you will be very happy, though I'm not sure I'd ever want to walk alot in them even with the added padding. But I rarely wear high heels, so I may just not have the technique down. Wear these to an occasion that doesn't require miles of walking, and you will be a hit!

So if you are on the fence.....I say buy them! First off, the color and embroidery are exactly as pictured...black matte satin with gold stitching...not green as far as I can see. Very stable on the foot with the chunky heel. I got an 8.5 M. I often wear an 8 but sized up to fit my vionic orthotic as I figured there would be little arch support. Unless you have well padded balls on your feet you will need padding as it is your typical thin sole of most dress shoes. Toe is not too pointy and I have plenty of room in the toe box. They are a little stiff at the ankles but I think they will be fine with leggings or a boot sock. They are very subdued....not at all flashy and look expensive.
