On Par With CompetitionVerified Buyer Reviewed by Quack Quack from SF Bay Area on Wednesday, December 6, 2017It seems like every clothing company is making these jackets, and they are all similar from what I experienced. My jacket works well keeping me warm on my bike while riding in cold mornings but feels like a windbreaker. It’s a little roomy, but that is fine since I don’t like to feel restricted when riding.
Very good lightweight jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by sandy chockstone from Nebraska on Monday, November 27, 2017Was looking at one from a certain wholesale club (the nice one) and theirs was more expensive and flimsy compared to this. Fits great, good quality zippers and finishings.
Nice jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by STP shopper from Idaho on Sunday, March 5, 2017Nice down jacket for the price. Packable, lightweight, warm, and more wind proof than I expected. Knocked off one star because it feels like it won't be very durable but I can't complain.
Puffer JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pete G from Oregon on Wednesday, February 8, 2017My favorite coat. Now have red and navy. I have puffer type coats from Merrel, Eddie Bauer, and Cabela's. None have the overall value of this packable, true to size, comfortable coat. You can't beat this coat for the price.
Warmer Than I Thought It Would BeReviewed by Rick from Florida on Wednesday, February 8, 2017I bought one of these jackets because they were such a great price, were light weight, and had some good reviews. I intend on using it for backpacking and general use while in the snow. I just got back from a trip to Lake Placid, NY where the high temp was 16 degrees and snowing. I wore this jacket over a long sleeve Tee-shirt and small sweater and I was completely warm without the bulkiness of some other jackets.
I am completely satisfied and would recommend this jacket for travelers and backpackers alike.
Big things come in lightweight packagesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lovesbulldogs from Rhode Island on Saturday, January 28, 2017This jacket is extremely lightweight but surprisingly warm. I wouldn't wear it in a heavy downpour but I did get caught in a quick rain shower and stayed dry. It has proven to be warm even when it is windy out.
Great lightweight jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jennifer from Bay Area California on Tuesday, January 24, 2017I like the fact that this is down versus polyester but haven't washed yet and would be interested in hearing from others how this jacket stands up after laundering.
NICE!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Docsarvis from Chicago on Sunday, January 22, 2017Warmer than expected. Perfect for mildly cold days or layering. Compresses and packs beautifully. Appears to be very well made. Nice looking. INCREDIBLE price.
son loves this lightweight coatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Casual dresser from Ark on Thursday, January 19, 2017runs true to size, gray color looks good, is light, would not be good for winters up north but in Arkansas-perfect

“What is the actual down rating (i.e. 500, 550, 600, 650, 700 fill rating, etc.)”
There is no down rating on the jacket and I no longer have the manufacturers tags. I can twll you that I have worn it when it was 44 degrees out (with just a long sleeve dress shirt) and had to unzip the jacket. Also worn it in 27 degree weather with a similar shirt and been fine. For weather much cooler than that I would wear layers. Not sure it could handle sub zero weather, even with layers but otherwise is plenty warm.
Cactus99 - there is no indication of the fill rating on the product, but the "feel" is consistent with higher numbers (650-700) that I have in other products, feels like a low percentage of feathers (ie, more "down").
Free Country does not list the down rating for this item.
“Does it have any interior pockets?”
This item does not have interior pockets.
“Is it made with artificial or real duck down?”
This is made with real down and feathers.
