5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent light hiker

These boots are exceptionally light, very comfortable, and the construction quality is top notch. The lacing system provides a snug and evenly spread fit that conforms very well to the foot. Toe box is roomy enough to allow toes to work naturally. Gore-tex waterproofing was effective; I had these submerged to the ankle bone in a creek for a while and my feet stayed dry, as well as during a quick downpour. I wouldn't recommend these for use with a heavy pack, since the sole is soft and responsive and may not fare well on sharp rock or skree with the extra weight, but these boots are absolutely fantastic for day hiking, light trail use, or speed hiking. I bought these for daily wear, but specifically for playing disc golf, for which they are eminently suited. Good grip on dirt, rock, and scrambling up and down ravines, and the fact that these are so light allows me to be quick on my feet. Highly recommended..

Repeat purchase of these boots. Managed to wear the soles off the last ones over many miles. Upper lasted no worries. More than happy to still be able to get them

I've been well pleased with my purchase of Garmont 9.81 Trail Pro boots. They are light on my feet yet give my ankles plenty of support without being too stiff. I was worried that the tread on the soles were not going to be good on wet terrain but I haven't found that to be the case. I would recommend them.
