5.0 out of 5 stars. Great compromiseVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mark from White Mtns of New Hampshire on Tuesday, January 23, 2018First off, the fit with the wider toe box is perfect. The shoes are a bit too stiff to be true running shoes, and a bit to light weight to be long distance hikers, but they are perfect for day-to-day use. Great for day hikes, bike riding, and just wearing around for almost any activity.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not what I expected from GarmontVerified Buyer Reviewed by John from Colorado on Thursday, November 16, 2017These Garmonts were not what I expected from my experience with their hiking shoes, These shoes are a trail running shoe...not a hiking shoe. They are very light weight for running. I'll keep them as they feel comfortable so far. With the new sole, I'll have to see how long they last.

3.0 out of 5 stars. For very narrow feetReviewed by Anonymous from Australia on Friday, October 13, 2017Looks and feels nice to the touch but very narrow across the foot. The length was fine. It is a pity as I like the look of them. I ordered a size 12 US size but not sure if a size bigger will do the trick - but as I am in Australia I can't afford to try different sizes and send back for a refund - which I will have to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very good lightweight walking shoe.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Arizona on Friday, September 22, 2017As we know, with shoes and boots it is all about the fit. These shoes are well made and comfortable. The fit is probably true to size. I usually wear 10.5 to 11 (US), and 10.5 fit well. The Salomon Crossmax at size 11 (that these Garmonts will replace) actually fit a little shorter. The soles are a bit thin to qualify as a "hiking" shoe, in my opinion, and for walking on anything other than smooth trails you might want to consider some good aftermarket insoles. This is a good lightweight summer shoe and I would buy them again.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Running shoe with hiking soleReviewed by fatport from Alaska on Tuesday, August 29, 2017I just got these, and I've only put about a dozen miles on them, so I'll just comment on the construction. I'm a little disappointed at the front bumper of these shoes. It doesn't wrap around the toe very far, so I can tell that's where the shoe will wear out. Also, I'll be hesitant to use them on really rocky trails, where the side of my foot can bet bashed. It's unfortunate, as the soles are incredible. It looks like a running shoe glued to a high performance hiking sole. It makes for a very light shoe, but I would trade a little more weight for more foot protection.
