Nice Shoe, But...

This is a well constructed shoe, but has some odd features. It is a very large volume shoe, not just in width but overall. The insert which is provided is very thin with absolutely no arch support, so a replacement insert like a Superfeet is needed. There is plenty of room for about any insert you select. Also, the height of the shoe is between a mid and low hiker. At first I felt pressure on my inside ankle bones, but it seemed to subside after wearing the shoe for a few hours. I still have not worn the shoes outside as I am still deciding whether to keep them. I need to have my right shoe built up for a short leg after a hip fracture, and the sole on this shoe would permit that. And the shoe easily accommodates a bunion on my right foot. If I did not need a shoe that accommodates those specific issues, I would probably select another shoe given all of the choices out there.
