I have tried Garment hiking boots and they were too roomy for my feet. I have low volume feet so the lace to the toe feature on these shoes allow for a snug fit. I haven't tried them out on slick rock but I'm sure these soles will stick.

Seems to have great traction on rocks, boulders & is very comfortable. Purchased the size 13 for a 12 1/2 foot.
