I found these had more room in the toe box than expected. Usually I find hikers are narrow, this pair I had to get extra insoles and wear thick socks to take up space. Not much for arch support, so I'll have to find different base insoles. I only have a few hikes on them, so more time will tell, but, with a little tweaking of the fit, should be good for many miles.

I have been having foot pain, and I put my orthotics in them. They are by far the most comfortable shoes I own and provide the best support, comparing other shoes with the same orthotics. They are lightweight and feel like they are well-made. I expect them to hold up well to wear. I am probably going to purchase a second pair soon because they are on clearance and I'm afraid if I wait until I wear these out they won't be available.
I am a woman and bought the men's boots because women's boots always seem less durable (this is my first pair of Garmonts ever, so I can't say about this brand in particular.)
