Most Helpful 2-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nordic Walker from Appleton Wisconsin on Tuesday, September 13, 2011Had to return this boot after wearing around the house for a few hours. Very tight toe box, but seemed to be sloppy around the ankle, no matter how tight I drew the laces. The boot did seem to have a nice arch support.
- Cons: Narrow toe box, Sloppy ankle support

“My foot width is E size 38 European, E is very wide, how wide is this boot is there a boot you can recomend for a very wide foot”
This is a medium width boot. Currently we only have one style of boot in a wide in your size. It is the Thorogood 8" Leather Boots item #3295P.
“Hi -|I just purchased a pair of Vasque Switchback Gore-tex hiking boots from you in a size 7. They're too big, even with a heavy sock, though just slightly. I normally wear 6.5 to 7, and occasionally 7.5 if the shoe is cut especially small or narrow, as my foot is wide. But I'm usually a 7. On the Vasque, my heel moves enough to make me worry about taking the boot out on the trail. Also, the boot is quite stiff, though light for leather.||I'm looking for a boot with medium support - i.e. not all nylon - and good ankle support; vibram sole, and as light as possible given the support I need.|Two questions: Would you recommend this Garmont boot over the Vasque Switchback? and if so, what size best.||Thanks for you help!”
Yes I believe the Garmont would be a good option.
