Not up to Garmont's old standards

This boot isn't bad. For the STP discounted price, it is a decent buy. However, part of the outer materials is synthetic. I don't mean the mesh part. It is the rear outer structure. It isn't leather. As a result, the collar seems very stiff. Haven't gone on a long hike yet, but I will definitely wear thick socks to try to avoid friction with the collar.
