My wife loves them!!

I was looking for a new pair of hikers to replace my wife's old Kayland's when I came across these in my daily email flyer, and I thought it said women's boots. After reading the specs, then the reviews, the first of which was titled "Pretty, pretty, pretty...

  • Awesome boots!

For the price I paid for a Vibram soled hiking boots, I got a steal. Although I haven't hiked with them yet, I'm sure they'll do just fine. The boots look nice and seem to be made real well. I'm happy and look forward to using them.
  • ok for the price

Very narrow and insole is very thin so you feel everything. When put additional insole cushion in, it's too tight and hurts my feet. I'm wearing them everyday to break them in to see if they stretch a bit. Overall, not terrible for the money.

These are not the same quality as Asolo, Zamberlan, etc. Mine were made in Romania but the stitching is not up to par for other boots that I have from Romania. My feet got wet on a rainy hike, so the waterproof line is inferior to Gore Tex. They definitely run small compared to traditional dress shoe (Alden, AE, etc.) sizes. Bottom line, they are not top-of-the-line boots, but you shouldn't expect that for their price.

best hiking boots I have had for awhile... the soles are awesome and grip way better than the Hi_Tech boots I have been using... the feel great, excellent support... I just checked to see if they had my size so that I could order another pair...

  • “Is the shoe breathable? ”

    • According to information listed under the product Overview- Waterproof breathable membrane

    • My wife says these boots are great, and that they are very comfortable and breathable. The center section of the sides are a tight mesh. Somehow they seem to stay waterproof just the same, too.

  • “I bought these boots and love the look and the fit. But, the sole seems very hard! The bottoms of my feet hurt pretty bad after wearing them for a while. I bought some cheap padded insoles and that helped, but still not great. Has anyone else had this situation? What was your resolution?”

    • My wife loved them from the minute she put them on, and after two days of serious hiking, she said she still thinks their the most comfortable she's ever had. FWIW, hiking boots are going to have stiffer, more solid soles due to the rocks, roots and uneven surfaces you'll find in traversing hard trails. The soles aren't going to feel like the soft rubber that they're putting on nearly all casual shoes these days. It's more comfortable, but try walking over a rock pile with those on, and you can understand why hikers are built that way. Hope this helps.

  • “I like to order Garsport boots but can't find a US size 8 equivalent. It's says EUR 41 for 8.5 and a EUR 40 mens for a US mens 7.5...but there's nothing for US size men 8? I would like to order 2 but not sure what to chose?”

    • My husband is an 8.5 American size. I ordered a 42 and he says he likes it because he can wear his extra thick hiking socks. He said it's still fine with regular socks. He felt you would be happier with the 41. A bit roomier and less chance for blisters when hiking.

    • I found the sizing to be small. If you're an 8, shoot for the 8.5 or a 9.

  • “When I hover over the european sizes, it shows that Euro size 44 is a US 10.5. On other conversion charts I've found, they seem consistent that a US 10.5 is a 41 in euro sizes. Just want to make sure I order the correct size on these boots and wondered if you're size conversion is correct as it does not match others I've found. ”
