I brought these to Switzerland for hiking in the mountains and on glaciers around the Matterhorn, at the Eiger and Jungfraujoch, etc. I hike with poles every hike. I've worn them each day I've hiked. I was very satisfied with them after one day's use, and feel the same way after one week. Sizing was as advertised (Large is Large). I haven't even thought of washing them, despite using them daily and storing them along with my sweatband in the left pocket of my hiking shorts - no offensive odor. The Velcro wrist straps make them adjustable, so you can tighten them to your liking. I even like the degree of finger exposure for each finger, which are not all the same. Because I know I'll wear them all day, I avoid applying sunscreen to my hand. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I just went through two pairs of simms gloves.
Made in china throw away after two weeks of use.
These gloves are made well and strong, fit amazingly comfortable.

I purchased these gloves for a 5K race with obstacles (climbing walls, ropes, mud etc.) and they were durable, protective and comfortable. But I didn't want a one trick pony so I plan on using them for kayaking, paddle boarding and water sports in general to protect my hands from UV rays. Pretty versatile and I haven't even mentioned their intended use as a fishing glove. I have a short history with these gloves but they look well made and should hold up well. I ordered a medium size (instead of a large) because some reviews stated that they run a little big and the mediums fit well...thanks to those previous reviews!

I've been wearing a simms camo stripping glove but I sometimes worry about it tearing or giving up the ghost. I don't worry about the Glacier Glove. It is tough and built right. That said they tend to be a little baggy. While I have a medium hand the GG has a bit of room in the glove which I am not sure how it will play out when fishing. I may try to get a small glove but these will do for now.
