Good socks - good fit (after washing)

I wear "hiking" sox because of age and diabetes I need to have good foot protection and to keep my feet warm. I've found that Merino wool sox work quite well for that purpose. I used by buy a "house brand" from a large co-op outdoors supply company. But they changed suppliers, and the 2nd order of their sox didn't fit well, and were much less satisfactory than the first order I'd gotten. Since those were no longer a choice, I purchased a few pairs of these Goodhew Trekker Socks. While not nearly as thick as the other ones, they are still thicker than most socks and they fit quite well. I delayed posting until I cycled a few of the socks though a wash-dry cycle. Most have had at least one washing, and a couple pairs have had two washings. So far they've held up very well. (Hint: turn Merino Wool socks inside-out when you wash them. They dry better in the dryer as the loops of wool are more spread out.)
